Donation of Joaquín Casariego’s Personal Library

We are pleased to announce that our school library staff is currently in the final stage of cataloging over 1,000 items, including books and magazines, from the personal library of Joaquín Casariego, generously donated by his partner Elsa Guerra. Joaquín was a Professor of Urban Planning and Land Management, a faculty member at our school from 1977 until his passing in 2016, and served as its Director from 1987 to 1991, leaving a lasting legacy in our academic community.

This valuable collection, enriched with his personal notes, offers a unique and profound perspective, allowing readers to connect intimately with his thoughts and reflections. We are deeply grateful to Elsa Guerra for her generosity, which not only preserves Joaquín’s legacy but also inspires future generations of architects and students.

These books will soon be available at our architecture library. We invite you to explore and make the most of this new addition.
