By Resolution of the Vice-Rector for Equality, Inclusion, and Coexistence of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, dated July 23, 2025, the 4th edition of the “Advancing in Equality” Awards is announced. These awards aim to recognize excellence in Bachelor’s and Master’s Final Projects related to gender equality.
The awards are funded by the Island Council of Gran Canaria, through the budget allocation dedicated to promoting equality within the university environment.
This edition will especially value projects that address:
- Challenges or issues related to effective equality between women and men.
- Strategies, proposals, practices, or protocols in the field of equality.
- Resources or studies incorporating gender as a category of analysis.
Financial awards:
- €500 for the Best Bachelor’s Final Project.
- €800 for the Best Master’s Final Project.
- A runner-up prize of €300 in each category may also be awarded by the Evaluation Committee.
Evaluation criteria: originality, impact, relevance, interest, scientific rigor, methodology, and quality of sources used.
With this initiative, ULPGC reaffirms its commitment to promoting real and effective equality between women and men, and to raising awareness within the university community about the importance of this goal.
